At 4:45 pm, the police said they had arrested a man who was identified as Christopher Christian, who now faces first-degree murder charges. A witness described him as a 22-year-old man.

According to the arrest testimony, the victim was only described as a 30-year-old man. Witnesses working at the facility told the police that the victim was stabbed in the ribs. According to the police, the victim was taken to the hospital and then died.

Witnesses also told the police that Christian was asked to leave the facility the night before due to a physical conflict with another resident. Christian was told not to return within 30 days. The victim of the stabbing did not participate in the decision or fight.

The affidavit stated that Christian approached the victim in the parking lot, apparently talking to him. Then in the surveillance video, Christian was seen holding a backpack in front of him. The victim grabbed the backpack and the two started fighting. After they separated for a while, the video apparently showed the victim picking up the bag, and then Christian ran to the victim and started fighting with him again.
