This TikTok parent shared how she packed all the clothes of her 5-year-old daughter in a backpack and traveled to Europe for a month!
Diana (@mrsblinks) is a TikToker and the parent of three girls who recently embarked on a one-month European adventure. For her trip, Diana wanted to pack light, so she decided to pack a backpack for each member of her family. In a TikTok video, she revealed exactly how she packed all of her 5-year-old daughter's clothes into a child-sized backpack, and there is room for toys!

The video starts with footage of the backpack Diana plans to use. It is small enough for her 5-year-old child to carry, but in the end it is spacious enough to hold clothes for the next month! "In four days, I will take my 3 children to Europe on a one-month trip. When I said that each of us only brought a backpack, people thought I was crazy," Diana explained. "So I think I will share exactly how I pack."
Diana explained that she first listed everything she needed. "I will consider items that I really like and items that are versatile and can be fully utilized. Then, I let my daughters try everything," she said.
Then Diana began to spread clothes on the bed. She folds up each piece of clothing, puts it in a small packaging cube, and finally puts it in a backpack. “I started with the largest and most bulky items first, and then folded them to stand upright and fit the length of the packaging cube,” she explained. "One of my suggestions is to keep the packaging cubes closed to some degree. This way, you can start pushing things aside and maximizing your space."

After some trial and error, Diana managed to stuff all the clothes her daughter needed into the cube. "In general, I can fit into a small packaging cube: 4 dresses, 2 jumpsuits, pajamas, jeans and shorts, a top, 2 swimsuits and 7 [pair] underwear," she explained road. "It's all in her backpack, as well as a pair of shoes and a toothbrush. She still has space to move around on the plane."
TikTokers applauded Diana's efficient packaging.
"Love it! So touched! Packing cubes is very helpful! I am packing for our 14-day trip, but I can never just make a backpack," a TikToker responded.
"How did you clean up yourself? We adults need a tip!" wrote another audience member.
Others wondered if Diana was pretending enough.
"This is your trip out of town on the weekend, not a one-month trip!" an audience member responded.
Another TikToker joked: "I need a suitcase to go to my friend's house for two days."
Diana's packaging strategy may not be suitable for everyone, but her packaging skills are definitely useful for anyone trying to pack light!
